I grew up in Baldwin County during the “Digital Renaissance”. My high school got MacBooks my junior year and we took multiple classes on iMovie so the only challenges I faced completing this assignment was re-learning how to use iMovie. I think having students make movies is a really cool way to encourage students to be creative and maybe even open a door for some students to get into a potential new hobby/career.
I learned that using iMovie is much easier now than it used to be – I also looked into fair use for using songs in videos so that was interesting.

Hey Caleigh! That’s awesome that your high school had MacBooks for everyone. I have 8 iPads for my first grade class, and I often wish I had enough devices for each of them. There would be so many fun activities we could do like Nearpod, Quizziz, and iMovie. I had also used iMovie in the past. We created book trailers in one of my undergrad courses. I agree that it is SO much easier to use now. The process was much more streamlined. Your video was great! My friends and I recently visited Harry Potter World too! Your video of Platform 9 3/4 was great.
